Removal and installation of the front suspension crossmember

Lift and establish on supports a forward part of the vehicle. Remove the wheels. Lock the rotation of the wheel hub. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the lock nut nut hub. Remove the nut ball joint tie rod to the steering knuckle. With the help of a stripper disconnect the tie rod from the steering knuckle. Remove the ball joint nut and the lower control arm with special tool, disconnect the lever from the steering knuckle. Move aside the steering knuckle and the rack and remove the hub shank outer hinge Front Wheel Drive Shaft. The same operations follow with the other side of the vehicle. Remove the stabilizer bar. Remove the bolts the front and rear supports (see. Fig. 5.2) suspension arm on both sides of the car. Remove both control arm. On vehicles with a petrol engine, remove the thermal insulation screen front exhaust pipe. Remove the front exhaust pipe. Remove the connecting rod and the shift rod. While supporting the power unit, remove the bottom of the lateral support front and rear suspension bracket of the power unit. Remove the lower transverse support of the power unit. Remove the bolts of gear to front suspension crossmember. With the help of one or more jacks prop suspension crossmember and remove the two screws and four nuts cross the front suspension to the car body. Slowly lower cross-beam, taking care not to catch the aggregates or fasteners located near. Installation is performed in reverse order of removal. Finally tighten the screw connections after lowering the wheels of the car. Check the exhaust system for leaks and adjust the angles of the front wheels.
