Removal, disconnection and installation of the power unit in vehicles with automatic transmission
Removal is similar to the removal of the power unit with a manual transmission with the following. Disconnect the selector cable from gearbox. Disconnect the cable of compulsory reverse gear (?kick-down?) from the throttle body. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the gearbox. Disconnect hoses of cooling oil from the gearbox. Operation disconnecting the transmission from the engine is similar to the above for the engine with a manual transmission with the following. Remove the screws and remove the cover plate from the oil pan flange to access the torque converter bolts. Unscrew and remove the bolt available. Then use the socket wrench extension and rotate the crankshaft pulley and remove the remaining turns the torque converter bolts to drive plate. Just need to unscrew the four bolts. Make sure that the converter will not fall out when removing the gearbox. Secure converter using a steel plate bolted to one of the starter holes for bolts. Check the installation of the engine and gearbox supports. Then unscrew bolts of a transmission to the engine, pre-remember or write down their location. Carefully separate the transmission from the engine. If possible, remove the dowel pins from the gearbox, and save them. When installing the power unit with hydromechanical transmission, note the following. Make sure the correct assembly of the torque converter to the gearbox. To do this, measure the distance from the holes for the bolts fastening the torque converter to the mating surface of the gearbox. When installed correctly, the torque converter, this distance shall be 15.9 mm. Remove the plate, which is attached converter. Align the torque converter to the drive plate holes and insert bolts. Tighten the bolts specified torque converter. Then replace the cover plate sump and tighten the bolts evenly. Establish and adjust a cable of compulsory reverse gear (?kick-down?).
