Placement of the oil drain plug (1) and plug (2) openings for filling and checking the oil level gearbox
Fig. 4.9. Placement of the oil drain plug (1) and plug (2) openings for filling and checking the oil level gearbox

Transmission is removed from below the vehicle separately from the engine. To do this, lift the car and run the engine compartment following the operation. Remove the battery after disconnecting its wires. Remove and take aside, without disconnecting the wires, mounting block. Remove the engine air intake hose. Disconnect the clutch cable from the clutch fork and pull the rope to the side. On the diesel engine take aside the coolant hose located under the transmission and remove the bracket with the clutch slave cylinder, without disconnecting from it a hose and secure the cylinder in the engine compartment. Raise the lift car until the wheels are off the ground. Drain the oil from the gearbox (Fig. 4.9). Remove the connecting rod and the rod drive gear. Remove the mudguard of the left front wheel. Disconnect the backup light switch, switch neutral position, speedometer drive and lead the "masses". Remove the drive shafts of the front wheels (see. Below). Disconnect and remove the starter (see. Sec. "Electrical"). While supporting the power unit, set the stand crossbar and between the central engine. Establish a jack to support gearbox. Remove the rear, then left suspension brackets transmission. Remove the bolts from the gearbox to the engine. Make sure that the gearbox and disconnect cords and associated parts (parts), and gently push it down with the jack.
Transmission installation follow in reverse order, with the following:
- Replace all removed self-locking nuts, O-rings and seals;
- Establish a mandrel new seals differential output shafts, causing a thin layer of grease on the oil seal lip;
- Check the guides on the parting plane transmission and the engine;
- Check the condition of the clutch release bearing;
- Apply a thin layer of grease on the guide bushing and the ends of the clutch fork.
