Removing and installing steering column
 | The components of the steering column shown in the illustration steering column. Disassembly of the steering column is not allowed, if there is a fault, replace the steering column assembly. |
| - Remove the steering wheel, power driver's airbag and a coil spring.
- Remove all hose clamps and disconnect the harness connectors at the steering column assembly.
- Remove the bolt of the intermediate shaft to the steering mechanism and remove the shaft of the mechanism.
- Give nuts of the steering column and make sure it moves freely.
- Disconnect the wiring e / amplifier (EPAS) and remove the steering column assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the steering column intermediate shaft.
 | Do not rotate the shaft at an angle of more than 360 deg., So as not to disrupt the control unit EPAS. |
- To check, measure the length of the steering column and the force of its rotation (see. Specifications). If necessary, replace the steering column assembly.
- Installation is in the reverse order. Do not change the relative position of the bolts and nuts of the shaft. Before final tightening of fasteners, tighten it by hand and make sure there is no binding or sticking components.
- After installation, check the steering.
