Refitting
| To perform the procedures described below need a special throne jack type. Operating without its use is associated with increased risk of injury due to the substantial weight of the assembly. |
Models 4.2 l Withdrawal | - Drive the vehicle rear wheels on the overpass, cock a lay brake and block the rear wheels wedges.
- Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props.
- Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Remove the front seat and the center console.
- Give fixing screws and remove the sill. Remove the front pad.
- Remove the handle with the gear lever and transfer box modes. Give the fastening screws of the floor panel. Remove the floor with rubber protective covers and remove it from the vehicle.
- Give fixing screws and remove the transmission casing of the drive gear assembly with lever Manual transmission.
- Release the parking brake, remove the clamp and remove the finger attachment drive cable to the lever parking brake control. Loosen the retaining nut, release the cover of a cable from an arm and push the cable through the floor panel.
- Remove the drain plug and drain the gear oil from the gearbox. After completion of the leaking oil, lubricate the threads with sealant and screw plug.
| - Mark the position of the front and rear drive shafts relative to each other, and their position relative to the flange drive pinion (see. Accompanying illustration), flange and transfer box drum parking brake.
|
- Give bolts and nuts and remove the drive shafts from the car.
- Fold back the rubber protective cover, unscrew the nut on the stem to the switching control lever of a distributing box, remove the washer and spacer sleeve. Remove the stem from the shift lever.
- Give bracket bolts and remove the transfer case shift lever to the transmission housing.
- Disconnect air hoses and electrical wiring from the transfer case and transmission.
- Get a trolley jack under the transfer case and secure it with the help of a sling assembly or circuit.
- Give bolts to the transmission transfer box and remove the box from the vehicle.
| Weight transfer case is about 50 kg, and because of this Guide is strongly recommended for the removal of her carriage-jack. |
- Give fixing bolts and remove the slave cylinder with clutch. Secure the cylinder side, tied up its wire to the chassis element.
- Give a nut and bolt and remove the rubber pads to the support bracket of the suspension of the exhaust system
- Disconnect the electrical wiring from the starter, give fixing bolts and remove the starter from the car.
- Where applied, remove the PTO transmission unit and secure it to the side.
- Give bolts dome clutch to the engine, remove the reinforcement bracket and the rear guard of the engine.
- Get a special jack under the gearbox housing and chain tie him transmission.
- Support the transmission jack, give the nuts and bolts fixing the crossbeam to the chassis frame and supports the transmission. Remove the crossmember from the vehicle.
- Carefully lower the jack, making sure not to have been strained wires and hoses connected to the motor, and carefully remove the transmission from under the car.
| Do not remove the transmission process hangs or her full weight on the clutch plate in order to prevent the most recent failure. |
- Check the operation of the clutch.
|
|
Setting Appearance gearbox with associated components Installation is in the reverse order. | - Apply a moderate amount of grease on the splines primary shaft Manual transmission, oil the contact surface of the guide sleeve.
- Check the cleanliness of the mating surfaces of the engine and the rear panel of the dome grip. The flange with sealant Loctite last 587 or its equivalent.
- Lift the transmission jack and align it relative to the engine, making sure the mating surface of the dome to the clutch and the rear panel of the engine turned out to be parallel to each other.
- Establish transmission on the transmission output shaft rotate to align the splines of the primary pins with mating spline on the clutch disc.
- Press the transmission to the engine and tighten to the required torque all the bolts and connect the wiring to its original position and vent hoses.
- Replace the clutch slave cylinder, if necessary bleed the hydraulic system.
- Apply sealant to the landing pad flange starter and the latest in the distance.
- Tracing the registration number of labels, replace the propeller shafts.
- Connect and adjust the parking brake cable.
| - Install the assembly housing the drive gear to the gear lever. Be sure to replace the gasket and make sure that the long mounting bolts are screwed in shown in the accompanying illustration of the point (A).
|
- Fill the transmission of the required amount of oil required grades. Lubricate the thread sealant filler plug and tighten the latter.
|
|
L models 3.0 Withdrawal | Procedures for removing and installing the transmission similar to those discussed above for the 4.2 l model, taking into account the following points. |
| - After removing the shift lever assembly to the actuator casing using a special switch, remove the magnet from the housing extension spring and ball.
- When removing the clutch slave cylinder Give bracket bolts of the hydraulic tube to the engine.
|
|
Setting | - When installing the drive assembly housing switching gear lever grease with its mating surface sealant Loctite 587 (or equivalent).
| - Do not forget to replace the spring and the ball. Fixing bolts with heads 12 mm screw into position A, 13 mm - in position B (see. Accompanying illustration). All fixture tighten with demanded effort.
