Refitting

Withdrawal

Location slave cylinder and associated components in models of 3.0 l

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props.
  2. Remove the tube from the hydraulic slave cylinder.
  3. Give fixing bolts and remove the slave cylinder. On l models 4.2 remove as thermofilter.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models 4.2 l Ensure the correct location thermofilter.
  2. All fixture tighten with demanded effort.
  3. Finally, bleed the hydraulic system.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. After removing the slave cylinder from the car, remove the rubber cover its end and a pusher.
  2. Remove the cylinder piston, spring and spring seat (the internal components of the executive cylinder 4.2 l models are shown in an accompanying illustration). If you have problems Tap the cylinder block of wood, or post in the hole for the connection of a hydraulic tube with low pressure air. Carefully remove the piston sleeve.

  1. Remove from the executive cylinder valve pumping.

Cleaning and checking the status of

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Rinse the components of the executive cylinder of methyl alcohol.

In no case do not use for this purpose gasoline or mineral spirits.

  1. Inspect the cylinder bore for wear, scratching, scuffing and corrosion. If necessary, replace.
  2. Also check the condition of the piston, replace defective.
  3. Check the piston sleeve and a rubber protective cover for signs of aging material and other defects, in case of need make replacement.
  4. Check the plunger for signs of wear, bending or other damage. If necessary, replace.
  5. Check the permeability and the general condition of the valve pumping. If necessary, clean the valve or replace it.
  6. Check the condition of the piston spring. If signs of deformation, weakening force that, as well as the detection of cracks and other defects make replacement.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Grease with special greasing (for rubber components) of the piston sleeve and the cylinder bore. Put on the cuff on the piston.
  2. Fill into the cylinder spring seat, a spring and a piston. Make sure that the cuff not sponges were turned out during installation.
  3. Set at the end of slave cylinder plunger and a rubber cover.
  4. Screw the leveling valve, but do not tighten it yet.
  5. Install the slave cylinder on the car.
