Care body

  1. Body of the car is an extremely important factor in determining its resale price. Carrying out repair procedures for reconstruction of damaged or neglected elements of the body is much more complicated than the repair of mechanical components. The hidden area of the body, such as the wheel arches, frame and engine compartment, and in need of care, although not required so often, giving them attention as the other components of the body.
  2. Once a year or every 20,000 km (12,000 miles), it is desirable to produce steam clean the inside surfaces of the body. After removing all traces of dirt, oil and grease surfaces can be inspected for signs of corrosion, damage to brake lines, electrical wiring insulation deterioration, damage to the drive cables and other faults. Upon completion of this work is necessary to lubricate the front suspension components.
  3. At the same time spend a steam cleaning or washing degreasing composition of external surfaces of the engine and engine compartment.
  4. Careful attention should be paid to the wheel arches as a protective coating can be separated from the inner surfaces of the treads and wheels flying pebbles and grains of sand will cause damage to the paint and, as a consequence, the development of corrosion panels. Upon detection of corrosion (rust), they must be removed to bare metal, and the surface coated with anticorrosion paint.
  5. Washing the body should be done about once a week. Thoroughly moisten the surface of the car body to soften the dirt, which is then washed off with a soft sponge, or running water. Careless removal of adhering dirt can cause damage to the outer layer of paint.
  6. Stains of tar or asphalt, getting on the body with hot pavement can and should be removed with a solvent-soaked rag.
  7. Every six months the body then polish and chrome trim elements with wax. Remember that when using stripper chrome-plated surfaces cleaners together with traces of corrosion will also be removed and part of the chromed - try not too abundant to use such solutions.
