Procedures for servicing fuel injection systems and engine management and safety measures
In the secondary circuit of electronic ignition systems can produce hazardous high voltage. Preliminary checks | Before embarking on the search for the causes of failure in the proper engine management system, perform the following test. |
| - Check for fuel in the tank.
- Check the condition and the contacts of all the electrical connectors and the ground terminal components engine management system.
- Check the condition of the battery. Make the necessary corrections.
- Check the condition of the air filter element. If necessary, replace.
- Check the fuel pressure.
- Check the mechanical condition of the engine and in the right setting.
- Check the condition and fastening of all vacuum hoses.
- Make sure there are no air leaks / loss of vacuum through the intake manifold, throttle body and the pressure chamber of an air path.
- Check the operation of the system controlled crankcase ventilation (PCV).
- Check the coolant level and make sure the engine is at normal operating temperature.
