The power supply system of carburettor engines (3.0 liter and 4.2 liter earlier)
The power supply system of carburettor engines (3.0 liter and 4.2 liter earlier) general information The power supply system and car series Maverick Patrol (model 3.0 liter and 4.2 liter to 1992 vol.) Consists of a carburetor, fuel pump, air cleaner, fuel filter and fuel tank. All models of the same type set the carburetor with minor differences for models with 3.0 liter AT and Manual transmission. All the differences in the performance of maintenance on these carburettors are listed in the text of the Head. The carburetor is a two-chamber unit with a total float chamber. The fuel level in the float chamber is supported by a managed float needle valve. Initial (I) carburetor system (system idle) is responsible for the arrangement of the air-fuel mixture at low and medium engine speeds and during acceleration. There is also formed a combustible mixture to run the engine when the air damper is closed. Secondary (II) (the main dosing) system generates a mixture of high speed and conditions of intense stress on the engine. The accelerating pump provides an additional supply of fuel during acceleration of the engine using managed by traction throttle plunger device to control the ball. The device is equipped with automatic run electrically, as a special vacuum drive provides priotkryvanie throttle when starting a cold engine, thereby maintaining its performance at the initial stage. The carburetor is equipped with an electromagnetic shut-off valve termination of the fuel supply controlled by the ignition switch. When the ignition is turned off the valve closes the fuel supply channel is idle, minimizing the time useless engine operation. On models 4.2 liter fuel supply is carried out not repairable mechanical gasoline pump mounted on the engine block. On models 3.0 liters of fuel is an electric pump located in the fuel tank. During operation of the pump meets a special control unit, located behind a protective panel for mounting the fuse box.
