Removing and installing sump
Injector and carburetor engines have a different design of the oil pan. On the carburettor engine uses a conventional oil pan that has already been shown in On injection engine sump consists of two parts, the upper part of aluminum and a lower part of the steel plate. In accordance with the different removal and installation. Carburetor engine | - Unscrew the panel under the front of the car.
- Drain the engine oil.
- Replace the front part of the car on supports.
- Remove high beam engine. This prop engine accordingly.
- Remove the front exhaust pipe.
- Unscrew and remove the oil pan. If it sits firmly, do not insert a screwdriver between the sealing surfaces. Try to loosen the connection with a rubber mallet.
- Thoroughly clean the surface of the pan and the engine block. Carefully scrape off the remnants of the old seal scraper. Sump mounted on the sealant, which can be purchased in retail outlets Nissan. Sealant is supplied in tubes whose end should be cut to obtain a strip width of 4.5 mm. Evenly sealant circumferentially sump, namely on the inner side of the bolt holes. Make sure the bolt holes were not filled with sealant. Sump must be bolted to the cylinder block for 5 minutes after sealant application. Tighten the bolts with the appropriate Specifications effort. After tightening the bolts must pass 30 minutes before you can pour oil or start the engine. Install the removed parts in reverse order and fill the required amount of motor oil after 30 minutes pass after tightening the bolts of the pallet.
- Start the engine and check that the sealing surfaces on the oil did not perform.

| - Unscrew the panel under the front of the car.
- Drain the engine oil.
- Loosen the screws of the steel pan (8). Loosen the bolts evenly around the perimeter, remove the pallet. Do not insert a screwdriver between the surfaces.
- Allow the oil to drain completely and unscrew the visible oil passage plate (10).
- Replace the front part of the car on support and lift the power unit with a crane and lift the average beam engine. If an automatic transmission, the cable disconnect switch, if equipped with air conditioning, loosen its fastening and set aside.
- Remove the cover from the rear.
- Loosen the bolts of the aluminum pan. All loosen bolts evenly. Since the tray can be compressed, it must be respected the sequence of weakness opposite to that shown in the illustration below.

- Now pan should be overcome by the cylinder as it sits quite firmly. To this should be guided by an illustration. This illustration shows two bolts that hold the engine gearbox. Remove the screws in place (1), and in the field (2) and tighten the screw until the tray will not depart from the block. Then gently press the tray without damaging the metal. Previously, of course, remove the two bolts screwed.

- Installation is carried out in reverse order. Coat the sealing surfaces of the aluminum pan sealant, as described for gasoline engine.
- Install the oil pan and tighten the bolts to 1 to 16 in the sequence shown on the with a force of 16 - 19 N ??? m. Tighten bolts of 17 and 18 with a force of 6.5 - 7.5 N ??? m.
- Again screw and tighten the two screws between the motor and gearbox.
- Install all the removed parts.
- Screw the oil passage plate and tighten the bolts to 6.5 - 7.5 N ??? m.
- Cover the steel pan sealant as described for carburetor engines. Crosswise tighten the bolts to 6.5 - 7.5 N ??? m.
