Fog lights

On cars Golf III / Vento fog lamps mounted in the bumper of the car under the main headlights. To remove fog lamp insert a flat screwdriver between the turn indicator and the reflector and carefully remove the reflector bumper. Remove the two screws 1 (Fig. 9.13) fastenings fog. Then remove the spotlight from the bumper and disconnect the electrical connector from the back side.

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. Before installation, check the installation of the beam reflector fog. If necessary, the light beam can be adjusted by turning the adjusting screw 2 to the left. Regulation is not provided with respect to the vertical axis. After the light beam will be directed as required, replace the reflector.

To replace the lamp fog lamp, remove it, turn the fog light cover counterclockwise and remove the rear of the headlight. From inside the hood, disconnect the wiring of contact on the cover of the lamp. Push the spring clip, which is in the spotlight over the locks and remove the bulb from the lamp. Wrap the new bulb with a clean cloth to avoid touching the bulb, as moisture and grease, available on the skin, can cause darkening of the bulb and the rapid failure of the lamp. Insert the new bulb, making sure it is correctly positioned. Notches in the lamp holder should coincide with the guide in her body. Secure the lamp spring clip, connect a wire to the terminal on the lamp cap and install the cap to the headlamp (rotate clockwise). Then set the fog lamp bumper.
