Brakes Car Golf III / Vento has two operating independently subsystems working (foot) and parking. Brake system with a hydraulic drive is divided into two independent circuits: the right front and left rear wheel - one circuit, the other circuit - the left front and right rear wheel driven by a two-part master cylinder. The pressure in both circuits braking is created in the master cylinder by pressing on the brake pedal. To reduce the effort when you press the brake pedal and a more efficient use of the system vacuum booster. Vacuum brake servo works by vacuum generated in the intake manifold of the petrol engine, or by a special vacuum pump diesel engines. In normal operation, both loops work together, however, if one of the circuits fails, for example due to its depressurization and brake fluid leaks, a second circuit operating with a loss of braking efficiency on the braking time and the braking distance. The working brake system includes: the brake pedal, signals, brake master cylinder, brake servo vacuum-type brakes on the front and rear wheels, pipes, hoses and anti-lock braking system (ABS) by Teves. Most models with heavy-duty engines installed on all wheels disc brakes; all other models have front disc and rear drum brakes. On cars with engines of small capacity on request can be installed anti-lock brakes (ABS) for the rest of the system is installed as standard equipment. Rear drum brakes include run-on and run-off brake pads, which are driven by the wheel cylinder with two pistons. Circuit pressure control, part of the braking system, helps prevent rear wheel lock up under heavy braking. This circuit is controlled by or associated with the rear axle pressure regulator actuation of which depends on the load on the axle, or a pair of knobs screwed into the outlet nozzles of the master cylinder (one pressure regulator for each rear brake) which are triggered depending on the pressure in the brake system. The parking brake is actuated via manual actuating lever Bowden cable on the brake pads in the mechanism of the rear wheels. The main brake cylinder is fixed to the front of the vacuum brake booster and serves to create a simultaneous pressure on both circuits the hydraulic brake drive when you press the brake pedal. Above the master cylinder is the expansion tank, which provides the system with brake fluid.
