Removal and installation of components of system ABS
Removal and installation of ABS-ECU For vehicles manufactured before January 1993, the electronic system control unit (ECU-ABS) is located under the mat on the right front footwell of the front passenger. On models manufactured between January 1993 and February 1995, ABS-ECU is located under the rear right seat. On models manufactured after February 1995, the control unit is mounted on the base of the hydraulic unit, and to remove it you must first remove the hydraulic unit.
NOTE Removal and installation of the hydraulic unit must be performed by a specialist at the service station. It is impossible to prevent leakage of the brake fluid from the node when disconnecting pipes, as in the hydraulic unit can enter the air, leading to occurrence of air pockets and malfunction node. |
On earlier models, you must first disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal. On cars of release till January 1993 to gain access to the computer-ABS is necessary to remove the front passenger seat and lift the mat, then unclip the ABS-ECU, and then release the fixing wiring connector and turn the connector to the side and remove the ABS-ECU. On vehicles manufactured from January 1993 to February 1995, lift the pillow right rear seat and disconnect the ABS-ECU from the fasteners. Release fixing wiring connector, turn the connector to the side and remove the control unit from the car. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. When installing it is necessary to monitor the correctness and reliability, connect the wiring of the control unit with the system ABS.
Removing and installing brake pedal position sensor Removing the brake pedal position sensor using the following procedure: - Repeatedly press the brake pedal to reduce the vacuum in the amplifier; - Remove the brake master cylinder, to improve access to the brake pedal position sensor; - Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery; - Disconnect the sensor wiring; - Using a screwdriver, carefully remove the sensor mount and remove the sensor from the front of the vacuum booster; - Remove the seal and retaining rings. Install the brake pedal position sensor using the following procedure: - In the case of installation of a new sensor a remote place on a ring of the same color coding as the old sensor. It is absolutely necessary for the proper operation of the ABS system; - The right to establish a new lock ring in the groove on the front side of the vacuum amplifier. The cut of a lock ring should be above the bottom mounting slot of the amplifier; - Oil the new O-ring and put it on the sensor; - The mark on the sensor with the top groove of the amplifier and set the sensor by pushing it until it clicks. Make sure that the sensor is securely locking ring; - Connect the wiring and sensor wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
Removal and installation of speed sensor front (rear) wheels of the car Removing the speed sensor front (rear) wheels is as follows: - Release the bolts of the front (rear) wheels, apply the parking brake, lift the front jack (rear) part of the car and establish it on support. Remove a corresponding forward (rear) wheel;
NOTE When removing the speed sensor rear wheel to tighten the parking brake is not necessary. |
- Free from the wheel sensor to the connector wiring on all fixtures and disconnect it from the main wiring harness; - Remove the bolt and remove the sensor and sensor wiring. The installation of the sensor front (rear) wheels performed as follows: - Apply before installing the sensor on the tip of a thin layer of lubricating paste G 000 650; - Clean the mating surfaces of the sensor and the hub and install the sensor; - Screw the sensor bolt and tighten to 10 N ? m; - The right to route the wiring of the sensor and secure it with all the necessary fixings and connect the wiring connector; - Establish a wheel, lower the car on the earth and tighten bolts of the front (rear) wheel torque of 110 Nm.
