Removal and installation of the parking brake cable
Removing rope pull the parking brake lever sequence is as follows:

- To gain access to the parking brake lever 1 (see. Fig. 8.27), remove the rear section of the center console; - Release the relevant locknut 9 and the adjusting nut 10 the parking brake cable to get the most slack rope, and disconnect the traction rope from the equalizer 7 6; - Jack up the rear of the car and establish on a support; - Working down free front end of the sheath and pull the cable out of the guide; - Moving back along the cable, release mounting and disconnect the parking brake cable from the trailing arm; - On models with rear drum brakes, remove the brake pads on the appropriate side, and with a hammer and drift gently shake a cover of a cable from a brake board and remove the cable from the vehicle; - On models with rear disc brakes, disconnect the cable cover from the lever disc brake caliper, remove the cover of a cable lock and disconnect the cable from the caliper bracket. Check the condition of the parking brake system. In case of breakage, abrasion wire rope loose and tips on or damage to the cable sheath must be replaced. The teeth of the sector and the latch must not be damaged, and the lever must be securely fixed in position and move easily up and down. Damaged and replace worn parts. Install the parking brake cable conduct in the reverse order of removal. Prior to the installation of the central console, adjust the parking brake. After installing the cables, tighten the actuator adjusting the lock nut hand brake torque of 10 Nm and bolts rear wheel torque of 110 Nm.
Removing and installing handbrake lever Parking brake lever may be removed after dismantling the rear section of the center console, remove the parking brake cable to the equalizer and disconnect the wiring connector warning light switch. Then, unscrew the nuts and remove the brake lever. Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Prior to the installation of the central console, adjust the parking brake. When setting the parking brake lever, tighten the nuts to the support arm to 20 Nm.
