Removal and installation of the pressure regulator for models with 1.4 liter engine
On models with engines with a swept volume of 1.4 liters, the pressure in hydraulic rear brake is controlled, operation of which depends on the pressure in the master cylinder. Depending on the model or regulators are screwed into the outlet channels of the master cylinder or the brake pipe tee connecting line front and rear brakes, which are mounted on the bulkhead. Removal of the regulator in the following order: - Unscrew the cover of the master cylinder reservoir, close the neck and polyethylene screw cap again to get a tight seal; - Clean the surface of dirt around the location of the controller and put it under fittings rags to absorb the brake fluid, which may leak when you disconnect the tubes; - Remember or note to which holes are connected pipelines; - Unscrew the nuts of unions with which the brake lines are attached to the ends of the slider, and carefully disconnect the tube; - Plug or close the hole with adhesive tape tubes; - Remove the bolts and plug the regulator or close the hole with adhesive tape tees or the master cylinder (depending on the design), to reduce the loss of brake fluid and prevent the ingress of dirt into the system; - Wash off any spilled brake fluid with cold water. Installing the controller is made in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following: - When connecting tubes to tighten the regulator nut fittings; - Bleed the entire system of hydraulic brakes.
