Power steering pump (see. Fig. 7.10) can not be repaired in case of failure it is replaced with a new one. Remove the power steering pump The order of execution of works: - Disconnect the battery; - Set the front of the vehicle on a support; - Loosen the belt tension and remove the belt; - Fix the pulley power steering pump in a fixed position and remove a pulley; - Loosen the supply hose clamp and disconnect the hose from the power steering pump; - Disconnect from the power steering pump pressure pipe; - Remove the bolt 11 (see. Fig. 7.10) of the hinge 12 and remove the power steering pump and bracket assembly. NOTE On vehicles with engine capacity of 1.4 liters and 1.6 to remove the power steering pump, disconnect the pump from the bracket. |
Install the power steering pump Install the power steering pump in reverse order on the process of withdrawal. Wherein: - Use only new O-rings; - Before installing power steering pump fill it with hydraulic fluid G 002 00; - After installing power steering pump fill the power steering hydraulic fluid and remove air from the system.
