Replacing wiper motor-reducer
Faulty geared motor is recommended to replace a new one. Because of repair work on the geared motors is allowed only replacement pinion gear, cleaning and adjustment of the collector limit switch. Removing the gear motor performed as follows: - Switch on the ignition and then the windshield wipers and bring brush to the off position (the lowest position in which they are usually found when the wiper is not working). Then turn off the ignition; - Disconnect the "-" battery terminal; - Remove both levers wiper; - Remove the rubber seal from the top of the bulkhead; - Remove the screw clamps paneling gearmotor and remove the clamps; - Remove the rubber seal with the walls of the engine compartment, and then remove the two cladding panels adjacent to the windshield. First, remove the trim panel that covers the gear motor, located on the passenger side, and then the panel, located on the driver's side; - Disconnect the connector wiring gearmotor and free wiring of cable ties;

- Remove the three screws (or bolts, depending on the design) (Fig. 9.17) fastenings of the wiper mechanism and remove the gear motor and gear drive assembly; - Remove the rubber support washers and insert the gearmotor and check the rubber feet, checking for damage or deterioration, and replace if necessary; - Make labels, determining the relative position of the shaft of the gearmotor and shaft drive mechanism, then loosen the locknut to the axis of rotation of the wiper arm. Disconnect the drive mechanism from the axis of rotation; - Remove the three screws on the gear motor to the wiper mechanism, remove them and separate gear motor and drive mechanism. Installation of the gearmotor spend in reverse order, with the following: - If the gear motor and drive mechanism have been dismantled, then assemble them and tighten the bolts to the motor-reducer mechanism; - Set the lever of the drive axle gear motor, aligning the marks made before removal, and tighten the lock nut; - Make sure that the pillow supports are in place, then install the gear motor assembly on the vehicle; - Establish an insert washers and tighten the nuts (bolts) fixing the wiper mechanism; - Connect the electrical connector and secure locks; - Set the vehicle facing panels gearmotor and secure locks; - Lay on the bulkhead of the engine compartment rubber seal and install the wiper arms.
