Adjusting accelerator cable
The accelerator cable cars with petrol engines

A warning The accelerator cable is very sensitive to kinking, so when installing a cable must be handled carefully. Even a slight bend the cable can lead to subsequent fracture during use. Accelerator cable, with inflections, it is not recommended to install on the car.
Press the accelerator pedal up to the stop and secure it in this position, or ask your assistant to hold the pedal in this position.
Check whether the adjacent throttle lever to full load limiter. Otherwise, adjust the accelerator cable.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Remove the locking clip (indicated by arrow) securing the cover of a cable of an accelerator to the bracket. | 2. Move the throttle cable housing on the bracket as long as the throttle lever does not touch the peak load limiter. In this position, tighten the accelerator cable cable cover fixing bracket. | Models with automatic transmission | 3. Slowly press the accelerator pedal. When approaching the accelerator pedal to the emphasis should switch trigger compulsory inclusion downshift. | The engine 2,3-I with an automatic transmission | 4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the two-contact switch of compulsory inclusion of low transmission (kick-down), located at the front of the engine compartment. | | 5. Connect an ohmmeter to terminals kick-down switch and measure the resistance, which should be equal to infinity. | 6. Slowly press the accelerator pedal. When approaching the accelerator pedal against the stop switch contact resistance at the kick-down should abruptly drop to zero. | 7. Otherwise, readjust the accelerator cable or replace the faulty switch is compulsory inclusion downshift. |
