Checking the fuel pump
The fuel pump located in the fuel tank. A warning Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive, so caution must be exercised when working on any part of the fuel system.
Work on the fuel system must be done in a well ventilated area.
When working on the fuel system do not use open fire, electric welding and tools, at work with which sparks can be formed.
The fuel system is under constant pressure. When disconnecting the fuel elements of the fuel can be sprayed, so goes the fuel collect rags.
When checking the voltage on the battery should be at least 11.5 V.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Check the fuse for the fuel pump ?��28. If necessary, replace the fuse. | 2. When the starter the fuel pump to be switched on for at least 1 second. When the fuel pump should be heard characteristic noise. | 3. If the fuel pump does not work, connect the remote control in accordance with the scheme shown in Fig. Remote check of the fuel pump. | 4. Press the switch of the remote control. If the fuel pump still does not work, check the fuel pump relay. |

If the pump does not work, follow these steps:
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Remove the rear seat and remove the carpet to access the flange of the fuel level sensor and the fuel pump. | 2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel level sensor and the fuel pump. | | 3. Connect the tester and probe led to extreme contacts of an electric socket. | 4. If the voltage at the terminals of the electrical connector is present, remove the fuel pump. | 5. Check the electrical connection between the mounting flange of the fuel pump and fuel pump. Also check the condition of the contacts of an electric socket. | 6. If the electrical circuit of the fuel pump is OK, then the fuel pump is faulty and must be replaced. | 7. Install the fuel pump and the fuel gauge in the fuel tank. |
