Checking the hydraulic valve lifters

These engines have hydraulic tappets, which automatically controls the pressure lubrication system, to compensate for the clearance between the cam of the camshaft and the corresponding valve stem. So do not require regular inspection and adjustment of valve clearance. However, it is necessary to use the engine oil of good quality, and the recommended viscosity engine oil replaced at recommended intervals. When starting a cold engine there is a small delay while the engine oil pressure is equalized in all parts of the engine, especially in a hydraulic pusher. After the engine has not run for several days, the valves can "knock" for a longer time, since almost all of the oil flows from the top of the engine and the working surfaces of bearings. When warming up the engine turns of fast idling (a maximum of 2000 to 2500 rev / min) should not exceed 10-15 minutes, or until no sound of valves.
