Converter nuts, visible through the hole to install the starter
Using special clamp (1) to lock the torque converter on the input shaft of the gearbox
A warning Operations for removing and installing special automatic transmission are similar to operations on removal and installation of a mechanical transmission. This section shows the operation on only special automatic transmission.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Support the engine using the lifting device for the eyes fixed on the cylinder head. |
2. Mark and disconnect from the transmission electrical connectors, see. Fig. Location of electrical connectors (A, B, C, D) and bracket (E) securing the harness on the gearbox. | 3. Remove the bracket securing the wiring harness to the gearbox, see. Fig. Location of electrical connectors (A, B, C, D) and bracket (E) securing the harness on the gearbox. | 4. Disconnect electric sockets ATF from the power unit and, using a soft wire, tie them to the body. | 5. A wrench for a bolt crankshaft pulley a cranked shaft of the engine in a position to get through the hole for the starter was available one of the nuts gidrotran sformatora. Use a screwdriver or a crowbar at the teeth of the ring gear lock the drive plate from rotating and unscrew the bolt torque converter. Rotate the crankshaft of the engine and similarly unscrew the remaining two nuts. See Fig. Nut torque converter, visible through the hole to install the starter. | 6. Set the selector lever to P and pulling up, disconnect the cable from the transmission control shaft. | 7. Remove the screw that secures the cover of a cable transmission control, and remove the cable. | 8. Move the transmission from the engine, thus support the torque converter. | 9. Move the torque converter on the input shaft to the gearbox housing and, using clips, lock the converter in this position, see. Fig. Using special clamp (1) to lock the torque converter on the input shaft of the gearbox. | 10. Carefully lower the gearbox and pull it out from under the car. |
