Checking fuel pressure
Before beginning installation, take precautions.
Remove the fuel feed line 2 and put it under a cloth escaping fuel (Fig. 2.207).
NOTE To disconnect the fuel line, click on the lock ring. |
Connect a pressure gauge with adapter and a set of adapters, instead of the fuel feed line (Fig. 2.208). Open the valve pressure gauge. The lever is in position A. Include ignition so many times until the fuel pressure on the pressure gauge is no longer growing. Determine the oil pressure on the pressure gauge. The nominal value of 4.0-6.0 bar. If the fuel pressure is normal, check the residual pressure. If the nominal value is exceeded, a pressure reducing valve is defective in the fuel filter, replace the fuel filter flange If the setpoint pressure is not achieved, check the fuel lines and hoses for kinks and blockages. If no fault is found, replace the fuel filter flange and pressure relief valve Repeat the test. If nominal value is not reached again, faulty fuel pump, replace the fuel delivery module.
