Remove, if present, the engine cover.
Disconnect hoses and connector from the vacuum receiver A and remove it (Fig. 2.223).

Disconnect the hose 1 and connector from the intake air temperature sensor 2 on the air filter housing (Fig. 2.224). 3 Remove the bolt and remove the air filter housing with an inlet air hose 4. Remove the EGR connecting pipe between the intake manifold and the exhaust gas recirculation valve. Disconnect the electrical connectors on the intake manifold. Disconnect water hoses from the throttle control unit. Disconnect the hose crankcase ventilation valve on the lid and release the hose clamp between the intake manifold and fuel rail.
NOTE For mounting clamps is recommended to use pliers clamps CLIC. |
Remove the intake manifold up. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Removing and installing high-pressure pump
NOTE Do not disassemble the pump high-pressure Before beginning installation, take precautions. |
Withdrawal Bring engine to TDC. Remove the suction tube.
ATTENTION Observe safety precautions when depressurizing the high-pressure area. |
Remove the fuel pipes. When you disconnect from the high-pressure pump is necessary to maintain the key fittings.
Remove the high-pressure pump. Pull the plunger out of the housing.
Setting Replace the O-ring pump and lightly moisten it with clean engine oil.
NOTE The high pressure pump should be installed with a pre-inserted fastening bolts. Install the fuel lines free of stress. |
Check the plunger for damage and insert it into the cylinder head.
Gently tip the high-pressure pump to the cylinder head and tighten bolts by hand (Fig. 2.228). Install the fuel pipes. Then screw down all the screws, without tightening before the end.
