Removing and installing oil pump (with balance shaft module with chain drive)
NOTE If the repair of the engine detected by a large number of metal chips, wear, it may be a consequence of damage to the bearing of the crankshaft and the connecting rod. to avoid further damage after repair, proceed as follows. |
Thoroughly clean the oil passages Replace the oil injection nozzles Replace oil cooler Replace the oil filter element replacement
Withdrawal Set the engine to TDC of the first cylinder. Remove the timing belt. Drain the engine oil. Remove the oil pan. Remove the sealing flange. Remove the fixing bolts and remove the cover.
Click on the guide chain tensioner with a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow and lock chain tensioner with locking pin (Fig. 2.323). Remove the fixing bolts 1 and 3 of the chain tensioner. 2 Remove the fixing bolt and remove the chain tensioner.
Remove the retaining ring 1 with a pair of pliers for retaining rings (Fig. 2.324). Screw the bolt M3 drive shaft 2 and remove it from the oil pump. Remove the suction tube from the oil pump.
Remove the oil pump retaining bolts and remove the oil pump downwards (Fig. 2.325).
Setting
NOTE Before installing check that the fitting plugs into the balance shaft module. |
Install the oil pump and tighten the mounting bolts with the appropriate torque. M6 - 10 Nm. M7 - 13 Nm of +1/4. (90 ?�) (replace). Install the suction tube to tighten the mounting screws with the appropriate torque. M6 - 10 Nm. M8 - 20 Nm of +1/4. (90 ?�) (replace). Install chain tensioner. First, tighten the retaining bolt 2 to 20 N ?� m, and then the fixing screws 1 and 3 to 10 N ?� m (Fig. 2.323). Click on the guide chain tensioner with a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow to unload chain tensioner. Remove the locking pin from the chain tensioner.
NOTE Install the cover bolts using a threaded finish. |
Install the cover and tighten the bolts to 6 Nm. Install the packing flange. Install the oil pan. Install the timing belt. Removing and installing oil pump (with balance shaft module with a drive spur gear)
Withdrawal Remove the oil pan. Remove the retaining ring 1 with a pair of pliers for retaining rings. Screw the M3 screw 2 and remove the drive shaft of the oil pump. 4 Remove the bolt and remove the inlet of the oil pump.
ATTENTION Do not loosen the bolt on the idler. |
Setting Installation is performed in reverse sequence, with the following.
NOTE Replace O-ring. Replace damaged or drag lock ring Retaining ring must conform to the seating surface at the bottom of the groove. Before installing oil pump check that the two centering dowels. |
Install the oil pan.
