Check of effort on the steering wheel
NOTE Before the test, check the tire pressure, the type of tires and surface contact. |
Set the steering wheel to the center position. Remove the cover of the steering wheel. Start the engine and set the idle speed.

Using a torque wrench, measure the force on the steering wheel in both directions (Fig. 5.2). Maximum permissible force: 6 Nm. If the force on the steering wheel more than the maximum allowable, repair power steering. Tighten the nut on the steering wheel. Torque: 35 Nm. Install the cover of the steering wheel.
