General information on the anti-lock system

Brake system with ABS and a dual-diagonal. Amplification is performed in a brake system with a vacuum booster.
Vehicles with ABS have a mechanical braking force control. Special software in the control unit monitors the distribution of braking force to the rear axle.
ABS faults do not affect the brake system and strengthening it. The brake system performs its functions, and at the exit of the ABS system. In the case of an ABS fault should be regarded as a change in the braking force. After ignition control lamp ABS rear wheels during braking can lock up prematurely.

Location the ABS
Fig. 6.59. Location circuit ABS: 1 - hydraulic unit and the control unit; 2 - Power Brakes

Location ABS on vehicles with left-hand drive (Fig. 6.59).
The control unit and the hydraulic unit constitute a single device. Individually, these components can not function. The hydraulic pump can not function separately from the hydraulic unit.
