Removing and installing brake pads
Withdrawal Mark brake pads when they are reused. They must be set back in its place, otherwise there is uneven distribution of braking forces between the wheels. Remove the wheels.
Hook and remove the retaining spring brake pads with a screwdriver from the brake caliper (Fig. 6.13).
Disconnect the connector 1 Brake pad wear indicator (Fig. 6.14).
Remove the two guide bolts and remove the brake caliper (Fig. 6.16). Remove the brake caliper and secure it with wire so that it does not pull its weight on the brake hose and do not damage it. Remove the brake pads from the brake caliper and remove the bracket-holder.
ATTENTION Do not blow compressed air braking system. This gives rise to unhealthy dust. |
Clean the supporting surface of brake pads on the bracket-holder, remove the corrosion. Clean the brake calipers. To clean the brake caliper using only alcohol.
Setting Before you pressed the piston into the cylinder using a special device, it is necessary to pump the brake fluid reservoir. Otherwise, in the case of topping a liquid, it can leak and cause damage.
Install the outer brake pad in the bracket holder. Insert the inner brake pad with retaining spring in the brake caliper (piston). Secure brake caliper two guide bolts on the bracket-holder (Fig. 6.16). Set both the cap. Install the retaining spring in the brake caliper. Connect the connector wear indicator of brake pads. Install the wheel.
NOTE After each replacement brake pad several times strongly press on the brake pedal. This is necessary to ensure that the brake pads have taken their position. After replacing the pads, check the brake fluid level. |
Torque The guide bolt to the bracket-holder: 30 Nm.
