General provisions for CO regulation of the axle (axle measurement), the Passat

Wheel alignment may only be using the device for checking wheel alignment, an authorized VW / AUDI.

Each wheel alignment is necessary to measure the angles of the wheels of the front and rear axle.

Otherwise, there is provided a neutral position of the rack.

Measurements are made using a computer to check the wheel alignment.

Terms of wheel alignment to check

Suspension wheels, wheel bearings, steering tie rods, and should be checked for harmful backlash and damage.

Difference tread depth of tires of one axle shall not exceed 2 mm.

The fuel tank should be full.

Tank for windscreen washer fluid and headlights must be complete.

Make sure that when adjusting the stop was not about the stand and turntable.

Note the proper installation and configuration of the measuring device.

Parameters stand wheel alignment and the computer may eventually differ from the initial values.

Stand and the computer to check the wheel alignment once a year as part of maintenance should be checked and if necessary adjusted.

Preparing the measurement

Lateral runout must be compensated. Otherwise, the measurement result will be distorted.

Set the focus of the brake pedal.

With fully depress the brake pedal.

Nominal values for wheel alignment

These nominal values apply to vehicles with any type of engine.
