Removing and installing exhaust manifold and front pipe with the primary catalysts
Withdrawal Disconnect the battery.
NOTE Be sure to observe the order of performance. |
1-3 Disconnect vacuum hoses from an inlet collector (see. Fig. 2.300).
Vehicles with Engine code BAA and BMX Additionally, remove the vacuum hose from the intake manifold 4.
Continued for all vehicles
Completely remove the air filter housing. Remove the intake manifold. Then remove the protective screen with the support of the intake manifold from the cylinder head.
Disconnect plugs 1..4 lambda probes and wires rasklipsovat of holders (Fig. 2.302). Remove the oxygen sensors on the catalysts using a set of wrenches for lambda probes 3337. Lift up the vehicle. Turn off fixing nuts of the flange of the main catalyst. Then remove the bracket on the gearbox. Next, remove the flange on the exhaust manifold. Remove the exhaust manifold. Carefully remove the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converters.
Setting Align exhaust system so that between the gearbox and subframe there is enough free space. Further installation and assembly is performed in reverse sequence to removal.
NOTE When installing the receiver tubes, check the density of the catalyst after the flange connection. Leakage compound at this point causes the exhaust gas section. Because of this, outside air comes to the lambda probe after catalytic converter and lambda control is broken. |
