Replacement of anti-lock brakes (ABS)
Work to replace the ABS Brakes elements should be performed in the following order: 1) Remove the control module Antilock brake system: - Switch off the ignition; - Remove the hose (s) of the cooling system with brackets; - Release the lock on the control module; - Remove the brake pipes bracket under the wing; - Thoroughly clean the control module; - Disconnect the control module; - Remove the two screws and remove the front bracket; - Remove the rubber elements; - Take the control module from the inside of the wing and remove the four screws from the control module; - Remove the central bolt; - Carefully remove the control module; 2) installation of the control module Antilock brake system: - Check the cleanliness of seals;
A WARNING It is impossible to treat the surface with a file or a metal scraper. It is recommended to use plastic utensils. Do not use chemical solvents. |
- Tighten the central screw with your fingers; - Put the four Torx screws and tighten them in two stages: Stage 1 - diagonally to 3 N ? m; Stage 2 - tighten on a corner 90 ?.
A WARNING The tightening torque should not exceed 8 Nm. |

|
- Tighten the central bolt torque 17 Nm; - Put on the central bolt of the rubber component and insert the control unit holder; - Put the rubber elements on the support module; - Establish a support on the longitudinal rails to help. two bolts; - Align and tighten the bolts to 25 Nm; - Connect; - Secure the brake pipe on the inside panel of the front wing;
NOTE Secure the hydraulic modulator connection with "weight". |
- Fit the water hose; 3) checking of ABS: - Read the fault codes; - Perform a road test and check whether the indicator light turns off ABS; - Check whether the fault codes registered.
