Removing and installing front wheel pulse
NOTE New semi-axis are always supplied with pulse wheels |
The procedure should be followed: 1) Remove the caliper (see. Div. "Repair of the front wheel brake caliper"), without disconnecting the hose, and hang the caliper on a steel wire in order to avoid damage to the brake hose.

- Turn the steering wheel to the left; - Press out the axle from the knuckle; - Remove the nut from the axle shaft;

- Remove the two screws lower mounting (see. Fig. 6.25); - Press knuckle down and sex; - Remove the axle shaft from the knuckle; 3) Remove the momentum wheel axis, by gently hammer a small chisel between the pulse wheel and the axis, while the pulse wheel is released. Make sure that the axle shaft not come out of the gearbox. 4) Check the setting of the half-line by a rack with display. The maximum value of runout is 0.05 mm. 5) set the pulse wheel on the floor using a mandrel; 6) Install the axle shaft in the steering knuckle: - Check the sealing sleeve in the knuckle; - Set a new lock nut with a ring on the floor - Install the knuckle into the support pillar using new bolts and nuts. Tighten them to a torque 91 Nm; 7) Turn the steering wheel in position for straight-line motion and place: - brake pads; - Caliper; - The brake hose and a wire sensor holders; - wheel; - Axle nut and tighten its moment 240 Nm; - The hub and its cover. 8) Check the operation of ABS: - Read the fault codes; - Perform a road test and check whether the indicator light turns off ABS; - Check whether the fault codes registered.
