Elements of the control panel heating and ventilation with automatic climate control: 1 - control fan speed control; 2 - Mode selector switch; 3 - control the supply air temperature; 4 - the switch of electric heating the rear window and door mirrors; 5 - switch air recirculation mode; 6 - Switch mode of air conditioning

Heating and ventilation system with automatic climate control has a corresponding control panel (Fig. 2.39). Description of the functions of the elements of the control panel heating and ventilation of the salon: 1) control the fan speed control has 5 positions, corresponding to the different speed of his work (respectively: 0 - Off, 5 - the highest fan speed);
NOTE The air conditioning system does not work in the "0" position of the fan controller. |
2) Mode selector switch different directions air intake. The switch may be installed at any intermediate position between the designated modes. The corresponding mode icons have the following functions: - Air distribution is controlled automatically;
- Air is blown through the vents in the cabin;
- Maximum air flow to the windshield and side windows (in this position the air recirculation mode is not available and if the fan switch is set to AUT, the fan runs at maximum speed), using the air conditioning system; - Air is supplied to the floor and to the windscreen and side windows;
- Air is supplied only in the foot driver and front passenger;
- The air is supplied to the foot driver and front passenger, and through the vents in the cabin; 3) Supply air temperature control allows you to set the appropriate supply air temperature; 4) The rear window heater, heaters outside mirrors. When switched off the heating mode LED lights; 5) switch air recirculation mode; 6) The air-conditioning switch. When the switch position (recommended normal position) air conditioning system is in operation. Automatic climate control (ECC) automatically maintains the desired temperature in the car, regardless of the outdoor temperature. The system will find the quickest way from all available to achieve the desired temperature. Selectable temperature depends on physical factors such as the speed of the air humidity, the brightness of the sunlight that affect the interior and exterior of the car.
Additional recommendations for the management of the climate control system For the most comfortable use of the automatic climate control, the following recommendations: 1) to obtain optimum automatic exposure extreme side vents always leave open. Regardless of the position of the air regulator is always a certain amount of air flows through the ventilation openings when they are open. To the flow of air to the floor and windows was the highest, close the vents. If the side windows fog up, open the two extreme side vents. In order to achieve the most comfortable temperature in the car in cold weather, be sure to close the vents located in the center; 2) optimal automatic operation is achieved in the operationalization of the air conditioning system. Air conditioning system can be used at ambient temperatures, reaching up to values only slightly above the freezing point; 3) do not cover the solar sensor, located at the top of the dashboard behind the speaker grille on the passenger side - on the climate control unit will be supplied incorrect information. 4) water stains under the vehicle can be caused by condensation as a result of the maintenance of the climate system in hot weather. This is normal. 5) remove snow and leaves from the inlets of the heating system; 6) for detecting a serious fault, the air conditioning system all of the LEDs in the blinking for 20 seconds. When restarting a serious engine problem persists, contact your nearest Volvo.
| Fig. 2.40. Automatic tuning climate control systems
|
To automatically adjust the climate control system must be set the fan switch to position ?AUT?, and the mode selector switch - switch to AUT and select the desired temperature (Fig. 2.40). Fan automatically selects the most appropriate speed.
| Fig. 2.41. The optimum setting of the climate control anti-fog windows
|
To prevent fogging and icing the windscreen and side windows should be switched to the air distribution control to a position of maximum air supply to the windshield and side windows and the fan controller to position AUT (Fig. 2.41). Air conditioning is automatically switched on at the same time.
NOTE Clean the inner surfaces of the glass to help prevent fogging. |
