Replacing the spring in front of the rack
Work is carried out in this order: a) remove the front rack: - Extend the jack and remove the wheel;

- Remove the clamp and disconnect the hose of the brake system (Fig. 7.19); - Disconnect the ABS wiring harness from the bracket; - Remove the two screws knuckle; - Remove the knuckle from the strut front suspension; - Remove the three screws in the upper part of the rack and remove the assembly; b) Disassemble the front rack:

- Compress a spring with a clamp 999 5409, grab three turns and place the clamps opposite each other; - Install special tool 115 9294; - Remove the boot and remove the nut;

- Remove the 4 spring fastening support (Fig. 7.21), bearing cup 5, the thrust collar 6, a spring 1, the bump 7 and the sleeve 8, remove the plug from the chipper; - Check the wear of all the parts and replace if necessary; - Lubricate bump with petroleum jelly and install it in the sleeve; c) collect the spring seat: - Install the plug and bump stop, spring (flat side up), the thrust ring, bearing a cup, a support bearing attachment spring nut (tighten the fingers); - Remove the special tool and make sure the spring is properly in the washer; - Connect the special tool 115 9294 (see. Fig. 7.20) and tighten the nut 2 (see. Fig. 7.21) to 65 N ?� m; - Lubricate bearings with grease; replace the boot; d) Install the front rack: - Put the front rack and tighten the three screws with your fingers; - Put the two knuckle bolts, having tightened their moment of 90 Nm; - Set the brake hoses and wires, the ABS places of their attachment; - Put and secure the wheel; - Three nuts on the top of torque 40 Nm.
