Camshafts and hydraulic chain tensioner
Withdrawal Removal and installation of camshafts and hydraulic chain tensioner is held with the engine mounted on the vehicle. Install the front transverse panel in service position (see. "Body"). Remove poly V-belt and the belt tensioner. Remove the timing belt. Remove the top casing of a gear belt. Remove the cylinder head cover. Remove the hall sensor. Using the screwdriver blade as a lever, remove the tube supplying oil to the camshaft bearing caps. For pulley bolt to turn it clockwise to the crankshaft by 45 ?�, so that none of the pistons was not in TDC.

Check that the camshafts are installed in TDC position of first cylinder, and the label on the back of stars have to be aligned with the pointer on the cylinder head (Fig. 2.3.74).

Put combination labels on a chain in front of labels on asterisks and the cylinder head (Fig. 2.3.75). The distance between the mark on the chain should be equal to sixteen chain links (see. Fig. 2.3.75).

NOTE If too much squeeze lock chain tensioner, it can damage the hydraulic chain tensioner. |
Regardless of the existing identification tags mark the serial numbers and location of the installation of covers of bearings of camshafts in accordance with figure 2.3.77.

Remove the mounting bolts of the hydraulic chain tensioner, indicated by arrows in Fig. 2.3.77. Remove the bolts and remove the bearing cap marked No. 0. Remove the bolts and remove the bearing caps marked with the numbers 1, 3 and 5. By loosening the bolts crosswise bearing caps, numbers 2 and 4, gradually unscrew and remove them from the camshaft intake and exhaust valves. Remove camshafts with hydraulic chain tensioner.
Setting Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.

Segment plug 19 (see. Fig. 2.3.73) must be replaced by a new.

Also replace the rubber-gasket hydraulic chain tensioner, and apply a thin coat of sealant AMV 188 001 02 to the selection shown in Fig. 2.3.78. Install chain on asterisks of camshafts as follows:

- When a new chain of the gauge of A and B (Fig. 2.3.80) on the camshafts should be sixteen units of the chain. A label must be slightly offset inwardly with respect to the first link in the chain.

Install the hydraulic tensioner to the chain (requires two people). Install camshafts with hydraulic chain and chain tensioner in the cylinder head. Apply engine oil to the cervix and cams of camshafts.
NOTE Centering sleeves for bearing caps and hydraulic chain tensioner must be installed in the cylinder head. |
Install the bearing caps so that the markings on the covers was read by the intake camshaft. Crosswise tighten bolts of covers of bearings, numbers 2 and 4 (see. Fig. 2.3.77) camshaft intake and exhaust valves. Install the camshaft bearing caps marked with the numbers 1 (see. Fig. 2.3.77). Remove the lock chain tensioner 3366. Make sure that the camshafts are installed correctly, with the label on the back of stars have to be aligned with the pointer on the cylinder head (see. Fig. 2.3.74). The distance between the labels put on the chain should be equal to sixteen chain links (see. Fig. 2.3.75). The label on the camshaft exhaust valves must be slightly offset relative to the inside of the roller chain 1.

Apply to the area shown on the figure. 02/03/81, a thin layer of sealant AMV 188 001 02 and install the bearing caps, making sure that the centering sleeve is in place. Screw cap bolts. Install the remaining bearing caps of camshafts in the reverse order of removal, and fix their bolts. Install the oil supply pipe to the camshaft bearing caps. Replace camshaft seals. For pulley bolt to turn counter-clockwise the crankshaft by 45 ?� so that the first cylinder was established in TDC. Install the timing belt and adjust its tension. Install the cylinder head cover. After installing the camshaft, wait for 30 minutes before starting the engine to hydraulic pushers came to normal. Otherwise, the pistons may strike the valve. If you were working on the timing, turn the hand crank shaft on two complete revolutions, to ensure that the pistons do not strike the valves.
