When the ignition is on display in the instrument cluster shows the number of positions in which the selector lever (Fig. 1.61). P - Parking The drive wheels are blocked. The selector lever must be installed in this position only when the vehicle is stopped. Before turning off this position when the ignition should be further depress the brake pedal. R - Reverse It should be enabled only when the vehicle is stationary and the engine idling. In the R position with the ignition burn reversing lights. N - Neutral (idle position) Position N is used when the engine is idling. D - move forward Five transmission are automatically switched from low to higher and vice versa, depending on engine load and vehicle speed. Under certain driving conditions it is advisable to temporarily use one of the items below. 4 - position for the "rolling" road sections It is recommended that in certain driving conditions in selector lever position D to position occurs frequent switching from the 4th to 5th gear, and vice versa. Automatically switch up and down the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear, depending on engine load and speed, 5th gear is not included. This increases the efficiency of engine braking at the termination of the fuel supply. 3 - position of the mountain road sections Recommended for prolonged ascents and descents. Automatically switch up and down the 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear depending on engine load and speed, 4th and 5th gear are not included. It also increases the efficiency of engine braking. 2 - position of the mountain road sections with steep slopes Choose this position is recommended when driving on steep inclines. The car is moving only in the 1st or 2nd gear, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear are not included. This achieves the maximum possible efficiency of engine braking. The unit forced proactive shift to a lower gear (kick-down) The device provides the maximum in these conditions, movement acceleration of the vehicle. Once the force on the accelerator pedal exceeds a certain threshold value, depending on the rotational speed of the engine crankshaft and the speed of the vehicle is switched to one of the lower gears.
Switch to the next higher gear followed only when it reaches the maximum value of the engine speed of the engine.
