Ribbed Belts
Ribbed belt drives the alternator, power steering pump, cooling fan and air conditioner compressor, depending on engine modifications.
Withdrawal Disconnect "weight" from the storage battery.
A WARNING Chalk, markers or paint mark the direction of rotation of poly V-belt. After setting the belt rotates in the opposite direction, which may result in its destruction. |
When removing the V-ribbed belt is necessary to consider the following:

|
Release clamps fastening, remove the three screws and remove the engine cover (see. Fig. 3.3.2). Install the engine oil dipstick in place.
Setting Fit the drive belt first on the crankshaft pulley and then on a pulley power steering pump, pulley tensioner pulley and viscous clutch fan radiator.

|
Install the air conditioning compressor belt and adjust its tension. To do this, a torque wrench to the hex head belt tensioner air conditioning compressor in the "7 hours", create a pretension torque 30 Nm (fig. 3.3.29) and in this position, tighten the bolts tensioner to 25 Nm.
