Checking and topping up the oil in the lubricating system
You will need: engine oil, funnel, clean cloth.
RECOMMENDATION Type of Engine Oil: API SJ quality or ACEA A1 / A2 / A3, the viscosity of 5W-40, 10W-40 or 15W-40 (depending on climate conditions). WARNINGS Before checking the oil level after the trip stop the engine and wait for 5-10 minutes until the oil will merge into the tray. Add oil of the same grade, viscosity grade and quality as that used previously. The oil level in the crankcase does not exceed the label ?�MAX?�, otherwise there may be a leak through seals and gaskets, increased oil consumption. Check the level, setting the vehicle on level ground. |
Oil filler plug is located on the cylinder head cover. Index (the probe), the oil level is located on the left side of the engine block near the oil filler cap. | | 1. Remove the pointer (dipstick), wipe with a clean cloth and reinsert it into place. | 2. Re-pointer to remove (the probe). The level of the oil film must be between the ?�MIN?� and ?�MAX?�. If the oil level is close to the mark ?�MIN?� or below, add oil. |
| | 3. For topping up oil, turn oil filler cap counterclockwise ... | 4. ... and remove it. |
5. Fill the engine by controlling the level indicator. Before you remove the index, wait 2-3 minutes to allow the oil to drain into the crankcase. 6. Once the oil reaches the required level, tighten the plug cap.
