Design Features
Lubrication system combined: the most loaded parts are lubricated under pressure, and the rest - or directed spray or spray oil flowing from the gaps between mating parts. The pressure in the lubrication system oil pump creates a gear with internal gearing trochoidal gear installed outside the front of the cylinder and actuated from the front end of the crankshaft. The pump draws oil from the oil sump of the engine through the oil receiver with strainer and through full-flow oil filter with a filter element made of porous paper feeds it into the main oil highway, located in the body of the cylinder on the left side. From the main highway depart channel for supplying oil to the main bearings of the crankshaft. The oil supplied to the connecting rod bearings through ducts made in the body of the crankshaft, and further through the channels in the rods rods to openings in their upper portion, through which is sprayed onto the cylinder walls and piston crowns. From the main oil line extends vertical channel for supplying oil to the camshaft housing and the upper longitudinal oil passage connected to bores in the cylinder head with hydrojacks clearance in the valve mechanism. At the upper end portion of the longitudinal channel screwed reducing valve limiting oil pressure in the cylinder head. For lubrication of the camshaft bearing oil from vertical channel flows into the central axial channels camshaft through radial hole in the neck of the third bearing and distributed them to the other bearings. Cams camshaft lubricated with oil, which comes from the central axial channel through the radial holes in the jaws. Excess oil is drained from the cylinder head into the oil sump through vertical drains.
