Removing and installing engine

The manufacturer recommends removing the powertrain (engine with the clutch and gearbox) down. You need a lift to higher raise the front part of the car. The garage conditions with no need to lift the jack, as well as strong and high enough support to set them on a raised front part of the car that will make it possible to extract from beneath his engine dropped to the floor of the garage.

HELPFUL ADVICE
The engine is very heavy, so we recommend to take it to an assistant, using special equipment (lift, hoist and so on. N).
A WARNING
When removing and installing the power unit assembly having a large mass, use only fully serviceable hoisting machines designed for corresponding load, and carefully monitor the accuracy and reliability of the connection to the engine eyebolts ropes, traverse, etc.

1. For convenience, remove the hood (see. "Removing and installing the hood").
2. Reduce the pressure in the supply system (see. "Reducing the pressure in the fuel system").
3. Remove the battery (see. "Removing and installing the battery").
4. Remove the right mudguard of the engine (see. "Removal and installation of mudguards of the engine").
5. Drain the cooling system (see. "Replacing the coolant").
6. If you remove the engine for repair, drain the oil from the oil sump (see. "Replacing the engine oil and oil filter").
7. Remove the air conditioning compressor belt (see. "Replacement of the air conditioning compressor drive belt").
8. Remove the front wheel drive (see. "Removing and installing front wheel drive").
NOTE
Front wheel drive can not be disconnected from the transmission. In this case Secure loose from the drive hub in the power unit in any way possible (for example, tie wire).

9. Remove the exhaust pipe of the exhaust system (see. "Replacing the front exhaust pipe").
10. Remove the bracket clutch slave cylinder (see. "Replacing the slave cylinder clutch"), without disconnecting from it a hose, and move towards the cylinder.
11. For convenience, remove the air filter (see. "Removing and installing the air filter, intake silencer and air") ...
12. ... have a snack side cutter (or cut with a knife) the wire clamp to the hose and move the harness to one side, so that it does not interfere with work.

NOTE
Clamp disposable. When assembling do not forget to replace it with a new clamp to conductor be fixed.

13. Disconnect sensor wiring harness connector oxygen concentration.
14. Disconnect from the thermostat ...
15. ... and the radiator inlet coolant hose and remove it.
16. Similarly disconnect the discharge hose from the water distribution pipes and the radiator, and then remove it.
17. Loosen the clamp fastening fluid hose ...
18. ... and remove the hose from the pipe expansion tank.
19. Loosen the clamps ...
20. ... and unplug the heater hoses from the heater matrix pipes on the bulkhead of the body.
21. Loosen the screw clamp, terminal control transmission gear selection and disconnect the traction and the tip of the gear lever.
22. Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the controller idle ...
23. ... and the throttle position sensor.
24. Disconnect the hose nozzle of the throttle assembly to absolute pressure sensor ...
25. ... hoses and coolant drain ...
26. ... and the canister purge hose.
27. Disconnect from the sector throttle assembly tip the throttle cable ...
28. ... and from the bracket on the inlet pipe of a cable cover (see. "Adjustment and replacement of the throttle cable").
29. Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the speed sensor ...
30. ... and the reverse gear switch.
31. Disconnect the harness from the sensor 1, coolant temperature gauge and disconnect the holder 2 engine wiring harness from the bracket.
32. Disconnect the harness from the injector nozzles and move the harness to one side.
33. Disconnect the harness connector from the coolant temperature sensor engine management system ...
34. ... the electromagnetic valve EGR ...
35. ... from the ignition coil ...
36. ... and from the compressor clutch.
37. Remove the alternator drive belt and the power steering pump (see. "Replacing the alternator drive belt and the power steering pump").
38. Remove the three screws on the pulley power steering pump, keeping a pulley from turning a screwdriver ...
39. ... and remove the pulley.
40. Hold the nozzle against rotation, the second key unscrew the nut of the pipeline system of the power steering ...
41. ... and remove the pipe from the power steering pump nozzle.

NOTE
The connection of the pipeline to the pump is sealed by a rubber ring, which must be replaced at each separation.

42. Squeeze the pliers bent antennae clamp slide clamp to the pump ...
43. ... and remove the hose from the tube power steering pump.

A WARNING
Take precautionary measures against leakage of working fluid from the pipeline, drowning them, such as wooden plugs.

44. Remove the tube clamp.
45. Disconnect the harness connector from the generator.
46. Remove the wire nut to the conclusion ?BAT? generator ...
47. ... and remove the wire from the output.
48. Remove the nuts wire to the starter and remove the wires from the terminals.
49. Disconnect the harness from the sensor signal lamp oil pressure.
50. Disconnect the harness connector of the crankshaft position sensor.
51. Disconnect from the fuel pressure regulator fitting drain hose ...
52. ... and from the fuel filter outlet hose by squeezing the latches locking elements hose nozzle.

NOTE
The need to disconnect the hose from the fuel filter, instead of the ramp due to the fact that in order to detach it from the rail requires a special tool (see. "Removing and installing the fuel rail"), which it is appropriate to use when replacing a hose.

53. Loosen the hose clamp on the brake servo, squeezing it with pliers bent tabs, slide the clamp on a hose ...
54. ... and disconnect the hose from the intake pipe.
55. Remove the two screws on the lower air conditioning compressor to the bracket on the engine ...
56. ... then the two top bolts and take the compressor aside, without disconnecting from it pipelines.
57. Secure the lifting slings mechanism for the front ...
58. ... and rear lifting lugs, pull straps to relieve the support of the power unit ...
59. ... and establish a secure base for the insurance under the gearbox housing.
60. Remove the two mounting bolts of the right support of the power unit to the suspension support ...
61. ... the three mounting bolts to the engine and remove the bracket.
62. Remove the two screws on the left support of the power train to the side member of the body.
63. Remove the nut bolts back support suspension of the power unit to the bracket on the gearbox and remove the bolt from the hole and the support bracket.
64. Re-check whether all wires, hoses and hinged units are disconnected from the engine.
65. Slightly lift the power unit, remove the support from the transmission and lower power unit down on the floor.
66. hang out the front of the car (Lift up the vehicle) and high enough to extract from under the car of the power unit, and set under the body of reliable support.
67. Install the engine and all the removed items in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following:
- Before installation of the power unit, clean the rust from the tap threaded mounting holes of his legs;
- The threads of the mounting bolts, apply the fixing composition (eg, Loctite);
- Support of the power unit is more convenient to fix in the following order: back, front left, front right;
- A reception pipe laying be sure to replace with new;
- When connecting wires and pipes carefully watch over the correctness of their position in the engine compartment, avoiding contact with the heating and moving elements of the power unit.
After installing the motor, do the following.
2. Fill the coolant (see. "Replacing the coolant").
3. Adjust the tension of the alternator drive belt and the power steering pump (see. "Check and adjust belt drive alternator and power steering pump"), as well as the air conditioning compressor belt (see. "Check and adjust belt drive air conditioner compressor" ).
4. Adjust the throttle actuator (see. "Adjustment and replacement of the throttle cable").
5. Adjust the drive mechanism control gear (see. "Adjusting the drive transmission control").
6. Start the engine and check for leaks of fuel, oil and coolant. Check the oil pressure. Listen to the engine, it should work smoothly, without extraneous noise and knocks.
