Replacing the seal oil sump
Oil housing is mounted on the sealant, any gasket in the seal is missing, so in case of a leak of oil crankcase tightening bolts will not lead to the desired result. It is necessary to remove the oil pan and re-install it on the sealant. Work is done on a pit, trestle or possibly on the lift. You will need: face head "10" key "14" (preferably union). | | 3. 11. ... and the oil pan. Carefully wipe with a cloth with oil gasket surfaces.
HELPFUL ADVICE The mating surface of the block and crankcase before applying sealant degrease, only carefully remove them from the oil. Further it provides for easy disassembly compound. |
12. Apply sealant to the mating surface and the threaded bolts of the oil sump. 13. Install the oil pan and evenly crosswise tighten the bolts indicated in Annex 1. 14. Install all removed parts and components in the reverse order of removal. 15. Pour the oil in the engine.
A WARNING To start up the engine after replacing the seal oil sump can be no earlier than one hour, it is necessary for the polymerization of the sealant. |
