Testing of teamwork of an automatic transmission and the engine for the motionless car (stall test)
The test is performed to determine whether there is slippage of the friction elements or irregularities in the hydraulic components. A warning When the test no one should stand in front of and behind the car.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Before testing, check the level of all fluids and, if necessary, bring them to normal. Transmission fluid temperature should be between 80-90 ? C and cooling liquid 80-90 ? C. | 2. Install the wedge Chock the front and rear wheels. | 3. Connect the engine tachometer. | 4. Apply the parking brake and depress the brake pedal. | 5. Start the engine. | 6. Move the selector lever to position "D". The left foot press against the stop a brake pedal and the right foot gently press the accelerator pedal. When the speed of the crankshaft of the engine is no longer increasing, read tachometer readings and release the accelerator pedal. To avoid damaging the transmission test was performed for 5 seconds. If you want to spend more than one test with the engine running, move the selector lever to position N and leave the engine running at idle speed for 2 minutes. Running the engine at idle speed transmission fluid cools and prevents deterioration of its properties. The engine speed of the engine during testing of teamwork of an automatic transmission and the engine for the motionless car (stall test): 2300-2700 min -1. | 7. Similarly swipe tests in "R" position of the selector lever.
If the engine speed of the engine above the specifications in the position D, hence, the pressure transmission fluid is insufficient due to leakage in the rear clutch or freewheel.
If the engine speed of the engine above the specifications in the position of R, hence, the pressure transmission fluid is insufficient due to leakage in the front clutch or brake band of the front of the lower gears and reverse.
If the engine speed is below the engine specification in the position D, hence, the pressure transmission fluid is insufficient due to wear of the oil pump or torque converter failure. |
