Oil pump gasoline engines
Withdrawal | - Remove the timing belt.
- Remove all screws on oil sump.
- Remove the oil pan.
- Remove the 2 bolts and remove oil strainer with oil receiving pipe.
| - Remove the front cover.
- Remove the oil pump cover.
- Remove the inner and outer gear oil pump from the front cover, previously noting their relative position.
- Remove the cap and remove the spring and plunger.
Check | - Check the front oil seal for wear or damage working edges and, if necessary, replace it.
- Check the sealing lip on the absence of its deterioration. If necessary, replace the oil seal.
- Check oil pan for cracks or damage and replace it if necessary.
- Check oil filter for cracks or damage and replace it if necessary.
- Check the front cover for wear or damage in contact with the gear oil pump and replace it if necessary.
- Check for wear or damage to the gear teeth of the oil pump.
| - Feeler gauge to measure the gap between the gear and the oil pump jack in a cover. Maximum permissible backlash external gear of the oil pump: 0,12-0,185 mm.
| - Feeler gauge to measure the gap between the teeth of the gear oil pump. Maximum permissible backlash between the teeth of the gear oil pump: 0,025-0,069 mm.
| - Metal ruler and a feeler gauge, measure the side clearance of the oil pump gear.
| Maximum permissible backlash of rotors of the oil pump: 0,04-0,085 mm.
- Check the condition of the safety valve located on the front cover.
- . Check the condition of the spring of the safety valve.
The length of the spring in a free state: 43.8 mm Engines 2.0 / 1.8 x 43.8 mm Engine 1.6 x 46.6 mm
Spring length under a load of 3.7 kg: Engines 2.0 / 1.8 x 40.1 mm
Spring length under a load of 6.1 kg: Engine 1.6 x 40.1 mm

Oil pressure sensor | - If the warning light engine oil pressure light up after the ignition is switched on and goes out after starting the engine, so the engine oil pressure sensor is defective. If the warning light engine oil pressure does not come on after the ignition is switched on, check the oil pressure sensor, lamp and wiring.
- If there is an electric current after ignition and no current when the engine starts, it means that engine oil pressure sensor is defective. If the engine oil pressure sensor is faulty, check the bulb and wiring.
- Using the deep vein of 24 mm, tighten the torque sensor.
Check the oil pressure sensor | | - An ohmmeter check up conductivity of the connection between the sensor and the terminal block. In the absence of conductivity, replace the sensor.
- Ohmmeter check up conductivity between the terminal connections of the sensor and the cylinder block with the extended rod sensor. If the conductivity is available even at an extended stock, replace the sensor.
| - However, if no conductivity even with a vacuum of 50 kPa to an opening of the sensor, the sensor operates properly.
- Check the tightness of the sensor diaphragm and, if necessary, replace it.
Setting Oil pump | - Install the inner and outer gear of the oil pump in the front cover, pre-aligning the marks made previously.
- Install the oil pump cover and secure it with screws. After tightening the bolts, make sure that the gears are turned easily and smoothly. Tightening torque: 6-9 N ??? m.
| - Install a safety valve, a spring and screw cap, having tightened its demanded moment. Before installation grease relief valve engine oil. Torque: 40-50 N ??? m.
Front Cover | Install the front cover with a new gasket and secure it with screws.
Length of bolts: Engines 2.0 / 1.8 liters: A - 25 mm B - 20 mm C - 45 mm D - 38 mm
The engine of 1.6 liters: A - 30 mm B - 45 mm C - 60 mm D - 22 mm
Torque: 20-27 N ??? m. Oil seal | | - Using the special tool 09214-32000, set the front cover oil seal the front of the crankshaft.
| - Install special tool 09214-32100 on the front end of crankshaft and apply a thin layer of oil on the outer surface of the special tool to install the front cover.
- Install the oil filter.
- Remove any remnants of the old gasket mating surface of the oil pan and the engine block.
- Apply a continuous bead of sealant to the mating surface of the oil pan. Around the bolt holes sealant placed on the inner side.
| - The thickness of the sealant layer should be about 4 mm.
- After applying the sealant set the oil pan for no more than 15 minutes.
| - Install the oil pan to the engine block and tighten bolts. Tightening torques: 10-12 N ??? m.
