The main brake cylinder



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake fluid level.
  2. Disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder and close the opened holes suitable stoppers.

The brake liquid dissolves a paint, plastic and wire insulation, so if you accidentally hit fluid on the paintwork of the car or its components wash with plenty of water.

  1. Remove the nuts of the master cylinder and remove the brake master cylinder. Torque: 8.12 N ??? m.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the plug and drain the brake fluid reservoir.
  1. Remove the screws and, using a screwdriver as a lever, remove the tank from the main brake cylinder.
  1. Remove the retaining ring.
  1. Use a screwdriver to press the primary piston, remove the cylindrical pin and remove the primary piston.
  1. Use a screwdriver to press the secondary piston, remove the cylindrical pin and remove the secondary piston.

Do not disassemble the primary and secondary pistons.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the inner surface of the brake master cylinder body for rust and development.
  2. Check the brake master cylinder for wear or damage. If necessary, clean or replace the brake master cylinder.
  1. If damaged housing bore master cylinder, replace the brake master cylinder assembly.
  2. To remove dirt, clean the body of the master cylinder with isopropyl alcohol.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lubricate the recommended brake fluid inside the master cylinder surface and the outer surface of the primary and secondary pistons.
  1. Gently push the two springs and pistons in the bore of the master cylinder.
  1. Click on the pistons and install the retaining ring.
  1. Use a screwdriver to push the plunger and install the roll pin.
  2. Install two sealing rings.
  1. Firmly insert the reservoir in the sealing ring of the master cylinder.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the brake master cylinder to the brake servo.
  2. Install the brake master cylinder and brake servo at bulkhead.
  3. Connect the brake pipes to the master cylinder.
  4. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake servo.
  5. Connect traction brake pedal and set the pin with a head and an aperture under the pin and secure it with a new spring cotter pin.
  6. Fill the brake fluid and bleed the hydraulic circuit brake system.

Do not attempt to repair the vacuum brake booster, as it is, the disposable type.
