Remove the cover and toothed belt tensioner and idler pulley (Fig. 2.116). Remove the bolts of the water pump. Remove the water pump from the engine block.
Check Check the water pump for cracks, damage or wear, if necessary, replace the water pump.

Check bearings for damage, deviations from the normal hustle and slow rotation, if necessary, replace the water pump (Fig. 2.117). Check for coolant leaks. If the cooling fluid flows from an opening located at the bottom of the pump shaft part of the hub, so the seal is damaged. In this case, replace the water pump.
Setting Clean the mating surface of the housing of the water pump and cylinder block.

Install the water pump with a new lining on the block of cylinders and fix bolts, having tightened their demanded moment (Fig. 2.118). Tightening torque marked "7" - 15-22 Nm. Install the tensioner toothed belt and toothed belt. Adjust the tension of the timing belt, and then install the casing of a gear belt. Install the water pump pulley, drive belt and adjust the belt tension. Fill the cooling system with clean coolant. Start up the engine and check the cooling system for leaks.
