Check of elements of the additional equipment

Check actuator central locking door
If locking is not working, first check the fuse integrity.
Remove the pin actuator from wiring harness.
Additional wires submit pressure from the battery to the pin terminals of the actuator door lock and make sure it works properly. When a positive voltage to the contact "2", and the negative - to contact "4" actuator to close the lock, and, conversely, when changing the polarity of the voltage at the terminals of the connector actuator should open the lock.

Check engine electric windows
Sveklopodemnik power to lift or lower the window motor, located in the door. The system consists of switches, relays, motors, electric window mechanisms and circuits connecting all elements.
Management of raising or lowering the glass is carried out by the main switch on the driver's door or the individual switches on each door. Each door is reversible electric drive windows. The switch position determines the polarity of the voltage applied to the motor.
Every electrical circuit is protected by a fuse and circuit breaker (current relay). The engine is also equipped with an internal circuit breaker.
If the windows do not work, first check the fuse integrity and condition of the circuit breaker.
If you do not operate rear door windows only, or work only from the main switch, check the switches located in the rear doors and replace them if necessary.
Check the electrical connection between the switch and fuse box and relays, if necessary, repair it.
If the main switch does not work with only one door windows, check the operation of the power window switch on the door.
If windows is only one switch, and does not work on another, check the condition of the switch. If the switch is OK, check the electrical circuit between the switch and the corresponding motor, if necessary, repair it.
If the windows does not work on one of the switches, remove the door trim and check the voltage on the switch and the motor when the switch.
If the voltage applied to the motor, remove the glass from the window mechanism, manually move the window up and down and make sure it moves easily, without sticking. Check the condition of the mechanism window. If it is not damaged and the glass moved easily, without sticking, replace the motor.
Troubleshooting windows, their causes and solutions are listed in Table. 10.7.

Check the rear window defogger
Rear window consists of a plurality of horizontal conductors deposited on the inner surface of the glass. With the passage of electric current conductors of heat, so that defrost and scrape moisture rear window. Minor tears conductors can be restored without removing the rear window from the vehicle.
To prevent damage to the heater, observe the following precautions:
- Clean the inner surface of the rear window only with a damp cloth or chamois, along the heater elements;
- Scratching the heater elements;
- Do not stick labels on the heater.
If the thread of the heater is broken, it can be restored without removing it from the car using a conductive silver ink.
On vehicles with rear-view mirrors with the electric drive when the rear window heater is switched on and mirror.

A WARNING
Using a voltmeter probe (1), wrapped with foil (2) to detect the break of the conductor (3) rear window defogger
Fig. 10.21. Using a voltmeter probe (1), wrapped with foil (2) to detect the break of the conductor (3) rear window defogger

To check the rear window defogger voltmeter probe wrap tin foil to prevent damage to the heater current-carrying strands. To determine the break you need to press the foil with your finger and move it along the thread (Fig. 10.21).

Use a voltmeter to determine the faulty heater current-carrying strands
Fig. 10.22. Use a voltmeter to determine the faulty heater current-carrying strands

Turn on the rear window heater. Connect one lead of the voltmeter to the positive terminal of the heater and in turn connect the second lead of the voltmeter to the center of each of the current-carrying strands of the rear screen (Fig. 10.22). If the voltmeter shows voltage of about 6 V, then the thread is working.

The voltage shown by the voltmeter is equal to 12, if the busbar thread (1) burns between the point of connection of the voltmeter and the positive terminal of the heater
Fig. 10.23. The voltage shown by the voltmeter is equal to 12, if the busbar thread (1) burns between the point of connection of the voltmeter and the positive terminal of the heater

If live thread burns between a point connecting a voltmeter (in the middle) and the positive terminal of the heater, the voltmeter shows voltage of 12 V (Fig. 10.23).
If the thread burns between a point connecting a voltmeter (in the middle) and the negative terminal of the heater, the voltmeter shows voltage of 10 V.

Use a voltmeter to detect the break yarn rear window defogger
Fig. 10.24. Use a voltmeter to detect the break yarn rear window defogger

To detect the break the thread of a heater connect one lead of the voltmeter to the negative terminal of the heater, and the second strand of the probe move heater from the positive contact. The point at which the voltage shown by the voltmeter to increase from zero to a few volts, and is home to the thread breakage of the heater (Fig. 10.24).
Ohmmeter measure the resistance of each wire between the side contact of the heater and the center of each strand. FIELD filaments having an open, will have a resistance two times higher than the remaining yarns resistance heater.
Repair of a conductive filament heater
To repair the threads of the heater the following materials and tools:
- The conductive mass;
- Solvent for the current-carrying weight;
- Adhesive tape;
- Silicone solvent;
- Brush.

Location of strips of adhesive tape (1) in the region of the thread breakage of a heater
Fig. 10.25. Location of strips of adhesive tape (1) in the region of the thread breakage of a heater

Thinner glass, wipe the area around the heater filament gap and apply a strip of adhesive tape on both sides of the thread (Fig. 10.25).
Shake the container with a conductive mass and apply it in three layers at intervals of 15 minutes. Remove the tape, and wait until it dries busbar weight. After 24 hours, remove excess weight with a sharp knife.

A WARNING
After the repair, wipe the glass along the thread with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.

Check engine drive outside mirrors
To adjust the position of each door mirror uses two electric motors - one for vertical adjustment, the other - in the horizontal plane.
The switch is equipped with a selector that applies voltage to the left or right mirror. Switch on the ignition without starting the engine, lower front windows and alternately move the mirror in the vertical and horizontal planes, listening to the sound of the engine.
If the engine is running, and the mirror is not moving, the problem in the mirror driving mechanism. Remove and disassemble the mirror to determine the cause of the fault.
If the mirror does not move and did not hear the engines, check the fuse integrity.
If the fuse is OK, remove the switch and check its condition.
In accordance with the wiring diagram, check the connections on the "mass" wire mirrors.
If the mirror is still not working, remove it and check the power supply to the mirror.
If there is no voltage, even in the same position of the switch, check the electrical circuit between the mirror and the switch.
If voltage is present at all operating positions of the switch, remove the mirror and test the motor, connecting them with additional cables to the battery. If the engine does not work, replace the mirror. Troubleshooting mirrors, their causes and solutions are listed in Table. 10.8.
Possible malfunctions of the electronic immobilizer (ETACS), their possible causes and solutions are listed in Table. 10.9.
