Bleeding of the hydraulic clutch
If the tube, hose and / or the clutch master cylinder were removed or if the clutch pedal is "soft", they bleed the hydraulic clutch.
A WARNING During air removal add only fresh brake fluid recommended by the manufacturer. Do not mix different brands of brake fluid. Brake fluid SAE J1703 (DOT3 or DOT4). |
Loosen the bleeder valve in the working cylinder and connect a hose to it. Place the other end of the hose in a glass container of sufficient volume. Slowly depress the clutch pedal. While pressing the clutch pedal, loosen the bleeder valve and release the air from the hydraulic circuit. Hold the pedal down until the drain plug until the liquid will not be re-tightened. Repeat steps as long as the brake fluid leaving air bubbles. Fill in the clutch master cylinder fluid is prescribed.
A WARNING Often repetitive work the clutch pedal at the bottom of the progress in removing the air can lead to the displacement of the pusher from the cylinder. Repeatedly press the clutch pedal after it is fully return to its original position. |
