The clutch slave cylinder
Dismantling
| Fig. 3.17. The clutch slave cylinder: 1 - a connecting bolt, 25 Nm; 2 - the plate valve; 3 - spring valve; 4 - clutch slave cylinder; 5 - a returnable spring; 6 - piston; 7 - a protective cover; 8 - pusher; 9 - pin; 10 - pin; 11 - a hose
|
Remove the hose, valve plate, spring, plunger, and a protective cover (Fig. 3.17). Remove dirt from the hole for the piston in the working cylinder.
| Fig. 3.18. The use of compressed air for ejecting piston of the working cylinder
|
Feeding compressed air through the opening for connecting the tube, squeeze the plunger (Fig. 3.18).
A WARNING In order to catch the expelled compressed air piston, use a cloth. The compressed air slowly to prevent brake fluid splashes to the skin and eyes. |
Check Check the slave cylinder for leaks fluid. Check the dust cover for damage. Check the slave cylinder for corrosion and damage.
| Fig. 3.19. Places measuring the internal diameter of the cylinder
|
Measure the diameter of the inner cylinder in three locations (top, center and bottom) in two mutually perpendicular directions (Fig. 3.19). If the clearance between the piston and the cylinder exceeds the limit, replace the slave cylinder and / or piston assembly. The gap should be no more than 0.15 mm.
Assembly and installation The assembly is carried out in sequence, return dismantling. Grease lubrication CASMOLY L9508 pin with a head and a hole for the pin. Align the end of the pusher of the working cylinder with a fork, insert the pin and secure it with a locking pin. Bleed the hydraulic clutch. Install the hoses and pipes.
