Check and adjust the clutch pedal
| Fig. 3.1. Location (A) measuring a free wheeling and height (B) of the clutch pedal
|
Measure the distance from the surface of the pedal pad to the floor and a free wheeling clutch pedal (Fig. 3.1). Nominal free wheeling clutch pedal - 1-3 mm. Height of installation of a pedal of coupling - 180.5 mm. If the free wheeling and height of the clutch pedal does not meet the standard value, adjust as follows:
| Fig. 3.2. Adjusting the freewheel clutch pedal
|
- Loosen the locknut and turn the screw to adjust the height of the pedal, and then lock the bolt tightening the nut (Fig. 3.2);
A WARNING After adjustment tighten the screw up until it reaches the stop pedal, then tighten the locknut. |
- Turn push rod so that the pedal free wheeling corresponded to the desired value, and then secure it with a lock nut.
A WARNING When adjusting the height or freewheel clutch pedal, do not press the plunger in the direction of the master cylinder. |
After adjusting, make sure that the pedal free wheeling corresponded to the desired value. If the clutch pedal free play and the distance between the clutch pedal and the floor when the pedal is depressed is not the standard value, the reasons may be the entry of air into the hydraulic clutch or clutch master cylinder failure. Bleed the clutch or disassemble and check the master cylinder and the clutch.
