Checking is to determine the maximum speed of the crankshaft of the engine at full throttle opening position ?D? and ?R? selector lever. Checking operation of the overrunning clutch torque converter reactor and the possibility of holding the transmission clutches and brakes low / reverse gear (Fig. 3.34).
A WARNING In conducting this test, make sure the front of the car or behind him are not people. |
Check the fluid level in an automatic transmission and the engine coolant temperature: - Liquid level - about tag ?HOT? level indicator; - Temperature and coolant - 80-100 ? C. Set Chock the rear wheels. Turn the parking brake and depress the brake pedal. Start up the engine. With the gear selector in position ?D?, press the stop on the accelerator and determine the maximum speed of the engine crankshaft.
WARNINGS Do not hold the throttle open longer than is necessary to obtain data on the maximum speed of the crankshaft of the engine, and no more than 8 seconds per measurement. If you want to spend more than one test, run the engine when the engine speed 1000 min -1 at a neutral position of the lever gearbox for cooling the working fluid between inspections. |
Maximum speed of the engine crankshaft torque converter when checking the vehicle is stationary - 2000-2900 min -1 . Move the selector lever to position ?R? and performing the described operations, perform the same test. The maximum engine speed of the engine above the desired position in the ?D? and ?R? can be caused by the following reasons: - Low line pressure; - Reduced slip brake / reverse gear. The maximum engine speed of the engine above the desired position in the ?D? can be caused by a slipping clutch of low transmission. The maximum engine speed of the engine above the desired position in the ?R? can be caused by a slipping clutch reverse gear. Maximum speed of the crankshaft of the engine below the required positions in the ?D? and ?R? can be caused by the following reasons: - Failure of the torque converter; - Lack of engine power.
