Power shafts, axles

Drive shafts transmit torque from the engine, transmission and differential to the front wheels. In the gearbox drive shaft spline connection attached to the differential side gears. Fixation of the spline tip of the internal hinge of a power shaft side gear made snap ring. When installing the lock ring is compressed into the groove of the shaft. Once the shaft is fully seated in the side gear differential lock ring expands and fixes slotted tip from axial movement. External hinges are attached to the drive shafts of front wheel hub mounted on bearings. Fixing the shaft to the hub nut is carried out with a shoulder. To eliminate loosening nuts collar nut bent into the recess of the drive shaft.

Constant velocity joints (CV joints) installed on both sides of the drive shaft. All outer CV joints - such Birfield, and internal - tripoidnogo or ball type. Tripoidnogo type CV joints are used to prevent the transmission of vibrations through the engine drive shaft on a car body. CV joints are needed to transmit torque and motion compensation front suspension. Also, CV joints allow you to change the length of the drive shaft and the torque transmitted by the ever-changing angles.
